Denkmeier Facility

The Denkmeier Optical Facility is located in Hauppauge, NY. We apply optical coatings and perform assembly in various sections equipped for the job at hand. Above left, a worker who has been carefully trained to set Binoviewer Prisms is making fine adjustments in preperation for the next stage of collimation. Each Denkmeier Binoviewer undergoes a multi-stage alignment process in order to ensure that outstanding collimation even at the highest powers is the result. Center, IBS coating is carefully monitored during a run. Right, workers in our clean room lab are examining optical coatings and preparing glass surfaces that have yet to undergo coating deposition.
Lower Center: A fine protective film is being applied to the coated prism surfaces so that the side walls of the prisms can be properly blackened for maximum contrast. Right, a lab worker is preparing a clean-room lab station to be used for quality control.
